About the role

Reporting to the Director of Programs for Mozambique this position will be based in Maputo in Mozambique and may require up to 25% of domestic travel in provinces where the project is implemented. Your role is to drive impact, working with partners to develop and launch innovative and effective digital engagement campaigns via mobile. You will ensure that every large development organization knows about Viamo’s solutions and you will ensure the implementation of Viamo’s deliverables on our projects.

Key Responsibilities;

Partner Management

    • Work with local and international consortium partners to design and launch effective mobile engagement projects and monitor and report on their impact.
    • Delight our partners with quality, timely execution of program deliverables, including recommendations to enhance the impact.
    • Inform clients of new services and product improvements.
    • Solicit and document client feedback, including needs and expectations to inform the ongoing development of Viamo’s offerings.

    Project Implementation

    • Coordinate ongoing planning meetings and progress updates between the Viamo team and the project partners
    • Develop annual work plans and quarterly/monthly reports for the Program under the supervision of the the Director of Programs
    • Monitor and contribute to the implementation of these work plans according to the established timelines.
    • Remote training curriculum development
    • Work with key stakeholders and Viamo team to design, test, and produce high-quality mobile training content to be delivered over mobile
    • Conduct training content development workshop with project stakeholders
    • Implement field testing of developed content with the target audience

    Social behavior change communication (SBCC)

    • Provide strategic advice on SBCC via mobile for the project’s consortium partners
    • Work with key stakeholders and Viamo team to design, test, and produce high-quality mobile content for targeted messaging campaigns
    • Conduct content development workshop with project stakeholders
    • Implement field testing of developed content with target audiences

    Business Development

    Support the Country Director and Director of Programs in representation to national government agencies and at local events advocating for the use of our mobile technology.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Execution of program deliverables according to the contract/work plan
    • Impact: number of unique listeners and engagements in program activities
    • Revenue: forecast invoicing according to to the schedule set out in the contract and minimise monthly budget variance according to Viamo’s internal targets
    • Revenue: Burn rate on the annual obligated amount and total award amount
    • Project quality: execute programmatic implementation according to Viamo’s project quality standards and report back on implementation
    • Partner satisfaction, measured by feedback and NPS score post-project

    Team and Reporting Structure

    • Reports to Viamo’s Director of Programs for Mozambique

    Profile

    Required

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Portuguese
    • Minimum Masters Degree and Experience of 6+ years in any combination of social enterprise, INGO, mobile network operator, ICT4D and/or business development
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and proven experience in co-developing ideas with partners and strong workshop facilitation skills
    • Proven Project management experience, including working with Consortium partners on multi-year projects.
    • Proven narrative and financial reporting and budgeting for international donors. Experience implementing GF-funded projects is desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and coordinate many project activities at a time
    • Demonstrated skills in analysis, interpretation and data reporting
    • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills

    Desirable

    • Prior experience working with a globally distributed multi-cultural team
    • Proven experience in content creation for specific audiences, especially in Mozambique
    • Experience in Social Behavior Change (SBC)
    • Demonstrated self-management skills; adaptability and resourcefulness. ​
